Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the agreement between J H furniture and the customer for the supply, design, and installation of bespoke fitted wardrobes and furniture and other services. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Scope of Services
1.1 We provide custom design, manufacture, and installation of fitted wardrobes and furniture based on your specifications and requirements.
1.2 Any changes to agreed designs, specifications, or materials must be confirmed in writing and may be subject to additional charges.
2. Quotation and Acceptance
2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
2.2 A binding contract will be formed once you accept our quotation and pay the deposit as outlined in Section 3.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your order.
3.2 The remaining balance is due upon completion of the installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.3 Payments can be made via bank transfer or in a cash payment.
3.4 Failure to pay in full may result in delays, suspension of work, or legal action to recover outstanding amounts.
4. Cancellation Policy
4.1 Orders may be canceled within 7 days of placing the order, provided work has not yet commenced.
4.2 If work has commenced, cancellation may incur charges for materials, labor, and any expenses incurred up to the cancellation date.
4.3 Deposits are non-refundable unless the cancellation is due to our failure to fulfill our obligations.
5. Customer Responsibilities
5.1 You are responsible for providing accurate measurements, access to the installation site, and ensuring the site is clear and prepared for installation.
5.2 Any delays caused by site inaccessibility, unprepared spaces, or incorrect information may incur additional charges.
6. Installation and Completion
6.1 We will use reasonable efforts to complete the project by the agreed timeline; however, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., supplier issues or site conditions).
6.2 Any structural or electrical alterations required before installation are your responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
6.3 We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing structural defects, dampness, or other site-related issues.
7. Materials and Warranty
7.1 All materials used will meet the specifications agreed upon in the quotation.
7.2 We provide a 12 month warranty for workmanship and materials. This does not cover:
• General wear and tear.
• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications.
• Natural variations in wood or materials.
7.3 Any warranty claims must be made in writing and accompanied by proof of purchase.
8. Ownership and Risk
8.1 Ownership of the furniture remains with us until full payment is received.
8.2 Risk and responsibility for the furniture transfer to you upon delivery and installation.
9. Liability
9.1 We will not be liable for:
• Indirect or consequential losses resulting from delays, defects, or installation issues.
• Damage caused by third-party contractors or unforeseen site conditions.
9.2 Our total liability under this agreement is limited to the total amount paid for the project.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will not affect contracts already agreed upon.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
